I'm really depressed at the new university that's causing me to get bad grades? help?

I met some girls in a church ministry which I stopped going because i'm not really that religion and I had a bad situation going on with some girl I me there. A lot of people if not most already know eachother from before. I was in an a college ministry. I tried a few organizations at college which I didn't like. I just transferred last semester and i'm not liking it. It's hard to find time to talk to people in cles and I actually dropped my cles. I got one cl and that cl is super quite and there's no group activities so it's hard to get to know anyone. The cl is pretty straight forward. I DON'T want to go to a club to meet some girls or the bar.........I don't want to do online dating!!!! I haven't tried other organizations bec. i'm not really interested in it and plus I been discouraged bec. I didn't enjoy the few organizations I tried....I don't have to grades to join a frat!! my grades are real low due to depression.....I met some girl in my cl LAST SEMESTER(she had a bf) and she all of a sudden stopped talking 2 me...I didn't compliment her so I definitely didn't show I was interested in her in anyway besides a friend!!!!

Being black + being a freak of nature.?

Okay so I have a HUGE dilemma. I am mostly black and I am proud of who I am BUT I have a huge problem with identifying with other black people. 1. I look kind of mixed. Most can't really put their finger on what I am. 2. I listen to like..stoner doom metal, black metal, and anarcho/crust punk. Now, OBVIOUSLY I am not the first black person in the world that listens to this type of music but I find that when I meet other black people that listen to "rock" or "metal" it's always some mainstream bullshit like KORN or SLIPNOT or GREEN DAY. This **** really erks my nerves (seeing as how I am kind of a music snob). I have no clue why I am such a metal nerd; I have never really been surrounded by people who like the same type of music as me. I have always been extremely individual and I never try to be anything but myself. On top of this, I am very patiete and I guess I don't really look like your stereotypical "metal nerd". I am 100 lbs 5'7" and I have a tiny frame and am pretty busty for my frame. My aren't HUGE or anything but quite a few people have made remarks about them. I don't really feel comfortable fitting this "pretty girl" stereotype because I would rather people dig me for our similarities than my looks but once people get to know me, they are pretty thrown off by my personality. People think that I am gross and crazy because I am an aspiring professional taxidermist and once they get past my looks, quickly lose interest. Of course I always attract either, 1. Rude annoying obnoxious black guys 2. white guys who ume that i am some black hipster chick that they can parade around with or 3. Future serial killers (usually metal/crust punk nerds). I have no interest in any of these types of guys. I just want to be around people who share my interest and aren't complete imbeciles. So now, incidentally, I ended up getting a manufacturing job with a semi conductor company in Colorado Springs, Colorado and it just so turns out that Colorado Springs, Colorado has the most hateful, intolerant, and EXTREME right wing arrogant people that you've ever met in your entire life. Now, I consider myself a moderate politically, but these people are so hung up on their cult like views that they absolutely WILL NOT befriend you here or even acknowledge your presence. The women here are just like the men here. they are so stuck up and aloof that they REFUSE to make eye contact, smile when YOU smile at them FIRST, or anything that would be considered conducive to making friends anywhere else in the country. To cut to the chase, I got laid off from my job after they closed down and I started going to the local community college here. I am hellbent on moving down to Austin, TX and attending UT. I LOVE YOU!! I also love Christmas! I can't wait to put up the tree bake the cookies decorate the house and wear those cute pajamas everyone seeems to own around Christmas! I also love the family aspect. One of my favorite memories of Christmas was when my little cousin was afraid of Santa coming to our house, so he hid for an hour and we could not find him. he was under the couch bundled under some blankets. OH the sledding and snowball fights, The 25 days of Christmas on ABC Family. Just so much! I can't wait until we decorate the tree! The days after Thanksgiving are always so filled with boxes. (and dust haha) Than there is always making the gifts and wrapping them up. This year I am making scarves for all of my friends and family. Are Uggs good for Washington D.C.?

Well, technically theyre fake uggs, but still the suede boots with fur lining. I'm going to the inauguration in january, and I dont know how warm/snow proof uggs are. Since I'm going to be standing in the cold for 6+ hours, I need to make sure I'm as warm as can be. So are Uggs ok, or should I just buy some snow boots?

Male Zebra Finch Acting Strange!?!?

Yesterday (21 february 2009) i purchased a male zebra finch, his partner and their baby were from my friend. When she was catching him to transfer him into my cage, he fell into the water bowl. ever since then he has been on his perch leaning forward as if he was going to fall off, when leaning forward he closes his eyes. he is eating and drinking and when he wants to he will move. he is also communicationg well with the other 2 finches. i think its breeding season. why is he leaning so forward on his perch? what can i do ??

Where could I have gotten sick from and what is my illness?

I major cleaned my room and moved a ton of furniture which kicked up mes of dust, and the next day my sinuses and throat hurt. I didn't leave the house or come in contact with anyone that was sick, but somehow what I thought was an irritation turned into a disease. It developed from a sore throat and stuffy nose to a runny nose to a really hacking cough kind of like a mild bronchitis, and I have no idea what I might have. Is it possible for diseases to lie dormant to later infect the hosts, and what do you think I have? Ive been sick for about 4 days now, and I'm in the coughing stage. Also, my voice is shot.

So i am a new hampshire driver and have had my license for about a year and 2-3 months. I was going 86 mph in a 65 mph zone on the free way in machusetts and didnt see the state trooper and got pulled over. he gave me a ticket which is about 200. Now im fine with paying the fee but will i lose my license for any amount of time? Also, am i gonna have to go to a court hearing since i am still 17 and a junior driver? finally, will this affect my insurance costs because ive heard the first ticket in m is pardoned for insurance but since im a nh driver i dont know if that includes me. The past few days, I've noticed an odor coming from my propane heater whenever it ignites. This concerned me since I'm 8 weeks pregnant, so I purchased a Carbon Monoxide detector. CO was not detected. I had my landlord check for leaks today. There weren't any, but my tank was very low on propane. He had explained heaters and stove that run on propane will often emit an odor when the tank almost empty. I am wondering if the odor would be harmful to the fetus.

You really can't be "the greatest". Music isn't a competitive sport. There are different levels of musical proficiency and competency, but there is no greatest. The drummers on this list play in different musical contexts, so it's like comparing apples to oranges. Also, no other style besides rock/metal is represented. They are all the greatest in the sense that they are all original drummers who developed an individual sound and approach to playing (which I think is the true mark of a great musician).

I love my mom alot! She talks to me about everything. Including her weight problems. She has had a tummy tuck and a reduction in 2005. In 2006 she became pregnant with my baby sister and after that she inserted Mireyna birth control (however you spell it) After that she kept gaining weight over the years. In 2008 she started running and changing her diet. Later that year my stepfather got into a terrible accident and was hospitalized and my mom stopped running and dieting to take care of him. She gained the weight back. And after that, i think the menopause "crazy, moody and unpredictable" side affects got to her. So she started buying diet pills. Stuck to them for 2 weeks and slowly didn't care for them anymore and then got back on them and did the same thing. She then joined a gym membership with a personal trainer...canceled after one week. She joined another private workout club with 7 other women...she was never on time and she showed up late on purpose and quit after 3 weeks. she then got the 2 ball things behind her ears that stimulate her hunger and she wasted ALOT of money on that because she got them taken out and never used them again. She joined Medi Fast weight loss diet program and she spent again TOO MUCH money on buying foods that she wouldn't even eat. And that's only some Other the major things shes done. Shes been on alot of diets and she has asked me to be her motivator and make sure she sticks to them. Ive done that plenty of times and have even tried the mean motivator role. Then she goes and tells other people that im too mean and im no help...she makes excuses for everything. She eats sugared popcorn and drinks carbonated drinks and McDonald's smoothies and says "its only 75 calories, its made of milk, its half water..." What should i do? Im tired of hearing her excuses and im tired of her taking her weight anger out on me.

Blood in mucus in morning?

Hey i am 23 years old...smoked on and off for the past 4 years mostly on weekends at parties, my question is this...i recently had bronchitis and waited over a week and half before i went to see a doc (was a cough at first but got worse) the doc took blood sample from me and chest x-rays - the blood test came back for over 18 different things cancer cells cholesterol etc. the chest x-ray came back neg for pneumonia i did have bronchitis but i was also coughing up streaks of blood in my mucus i told my doc and he ured me it was from me coughing a lot and waiting over a week to see him, its been almost 2 weeks now and I'm still coughing up small amounts of blood in my mucus in the morning but goes away after 10-15 minutes after waking up......i just would like to see if there is any other causes to this or if i might have cut my throat or bronchial tubes from coughing so much also my mucus is not dis colored any longer so if anyone has any answers or why this might be happening i would appreciate the feed back - thanks -

Best way to install Fireplace gl doors on uneven brick?

We have a beautiful fireplace with uneven brick. However, the draft from the chimney is brutal and we're looking to install gl doors to cover the front of the opening. The galss doors we've bought stay in place fine, but have a gap between the frame and the stones. We will try to place the fire retardent insulation between them to fill the gap, but what can we use to cover that up so it isn't unsightly? Is there any other way of doing this??
