Why do people think they need to attack the Christian faith?

I don't agree with other's beliefs, but I respect them. So why is it that so many people are trying to put down my faith. Yes, Christians are hypocritical, imperfect, and don't always know what we're talking about when we say something, but if I'm not mistaken that's ALL OF HUMANITY, not just Christians. I see so many people on here putting down my faith. I don't mind them asking questions, even ones that question my faith, but when they say all Christians are idiots, or try to single us put for something that the whole world does I don't think it's fair.
