If French is to Quebec and Spanish is to Aztlan; why do we (USA) have Anglo-monolingual policies?

In Quebec you cannot display an english sign in public. All companies with more than 30 employees must operate in french only, and on , and on , and on. No such laws exist in America. In America you are free to display publicly a sign in any language you want. America is free, Quebec is backward thinking.
