the europeans went on voyages because theire where ALOT of religious complications&wars within their country,so they wished to spread chrisitanity around to evryone so there wouldnt be as many religious problems&to just expand the church&power. The main cause for their voyages was because europe was going through something sort of like a recesion like we are going through today so they had a very bad economy and where looking for advancess to fix their economic problems.They where mainly in search for gold&spices,but ended up finding slaves and made sugar cane factories because of christopher columbus.
