Do I have to purchase the Windows Operating System CD from the Dell Company?

Dell OS disks are interchangeable between laptops as the long as it's the same OS. Make sure that is the exact same operating system that came with your computer. If it is you will be able to use it with the Windows key on the bottom of your laptop no problem.
